How it works:
LEDs can come in many types. Here’s a crash course on the basics, to help you decide which LED would suit you best.
LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. These diodes can be as small as 1/8″ square and possibly even smaller. When grouped together, a cluster of these can produce more light than a conventional light bulb.
The LED has also been developed to offer different colors or temperatures, and this is measured in a unit called Kelvin (k). Typical colors will range from 2400k on the yellow side, to 6000K – which a daylight white.
The most popular temperatures are between 2700k and 3000k for general lighting in residential applications.
